We are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Carpenter who is looking to grow with our team and do a lot of good!

Someone wanting to take their skills to the next level under the guidance of our skilled team.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Ideal candidate has Min 2+ years renovation/construction experience

• Some heavy lifting required

• Experience with use of small tools/equipment

• Must have CSA work boots

• A valid drivers licence - ++ punctual

• Professional in appearance and demeanour

• Must have strong willingness to learn, eager to jump in where needed, and great attention to detail.

• We have 2 Divisions: custom accessible renovations (bathrooms, kitchens, elevators) and RapidAccess (small modifications) to ensure the needs and budget of everyone in our community can be met. You will primarily be with the custom renos division.

I'm in, but what will my days will look like??

• Monday - Friday. Usually start on-site or material pick up at the shop. We stay in touch by using Teams (memes/gifs may be involved) :)

• We have Leads & apprentices in the field. As an apprentice, you will undertake all aspects of a project under the supervision of our lead carpenter: from demo to finishing. You'll also be picking up materials, staying organized on-site and preparing for the next day. You'll be given time to learn on the job and improve key carpentry skills.

• You may be asked to occasionally help with RapidAccess installations to increase skill set and/or provide training.

• And absolutely taking pride in your work - we don't cut corners. If we don't know something, we figure it out TOGETHER. We have a team in the office ready to support at all times.

As we assist many clients with physical disabilities, those with mobility-limiting illnesses (such as ALS or MS), or clients returning home after catastrophic Motor Vehicle Accidents; we require a Police Record Check - Vulnerable Sectors, upon hire.

$23.00-$29.00 per hour - flexible based on experience.
