VERTICAL PLATFORM LIFTS
(AKA: PORCH LIFTS)
A Vertical Platform Lift (VPL) - also known as porch lift or wheelchair lift - can be a great option when only needing to transfer between a smaller set of steps.
This is usually outdoors, in a garage to enter the main level of a home, or when there are just a few steps to navigate within a home (eg. a split-level).
Ideal solution for providing safe, convenient access to elevated spaces.
Vertical platform lifts (VPLs) are versatile lifts that can be installed inside or outside and move vertically with a platform large enough to accommodate a wheelchair user.
The VPL operates with continuous press controls, features a non-skid platform and travels up to 48", or optionally up to 72".
Ideal for use with wheelchairs, power chairs and scooters to gain access from the ground level into the home either outside, or when installed in a garage.
It's all about independence - and making every level of the home easier to use.
All VPLs include:
-
A full depth handrail on the platform
-
Operating panel on-board the lift that includes an emergency stop/alarm button
-
Call stations for each landing to summon the lift
-
Optional keyed access for security purposes
-
Platform gate (when required), or upper landing gate feature standard steel panels
-
Continuous pressure operation
-
Non-skid, zinc-coated platform
-
Automatic access ramp for lower landing
