What is Growing-at-Home?
BuildAble's Co-founder, Clinical Nurse Specialist (& momma) has been leading the development of Growing-at-Home as a distinct craft, skill and terminology for children requiring accessible home modifications.
Aging-in-Place supports for seniors are often quite different than what is needed for kids. Parents of children living with disabilities deserve distinct language, understanding and expertise to help support their families.
Growing-at-Home Renovations are specialized modifications for children, teens and youth living with disabilities, mobility challenges or movement disorders. Growing-at-Home recognizes the necessity of designing safe & functional spaces that support children as they grow and change.
I hired BuildAble to renovate my bathroom into a completely accessible bathroom, including a roll-in shower and a custom roll-under vanity. BuildAble were easy to work with, communicated well on all aspects of the decision-making process, were on-time, professional, clean, and most importantly did an amazing job! They are very knowledgeable and well-versed in the area of accessible renovations and needs. The workmanship was excellent and I am very happy with the final result.
